If you are planning a summer wedding let us help you from professional portraits to wedding coordinator. We are a husband and wife team. Flowers

Flowers help set the atmosphere for any event.. The type of flower you pick should be in seson with any event to help keep cost down.
Flowers play a huge role in weddings. The brides bouquet and bridesmaids. The groom and his attendant boutonnieres. The moms corsage and dads boutonniers.The flower girl. Flowers for centerpieces or for isles in the church.

Finding The Right Cake

Once Again There Is So Many Varieties Of Cake

The cake should complement the overall style of the event.
Of course the size of cake will depend on the number of guest.

Then the flavor of the cake
Then  the filling
Then the icing

There are many flavors of cakes here are some chocolate, vanilla,marble,poppy seed.orange,lemon,hazelnut,strawberry,carrot,raspberry to name a few.


There is also many types of icing
butter cream, fondant,marzipan, modelling chocolate,royal icing, meringue

Then there is also the embellishments
fresh or sugared fruit,flowers,ribbons.

Deposit usually 50% when ordered and reminder upon delivery of cake
Date cake will be prepared
The cake decorator usually delivers the cake make sure they have  the date of reception, full address Location where cake is to be displayed and arrival time  of cake
A list of ingredients in case anyone has food allergies
A complete description of the cake, including layers,flavor,fillings,icing & embellishments.

Private events  can be anything from balloons,streamers,pinatas,gift bags,flowers,candles. Theme parties  would go by whatever theme you are setting for 50's theme, jukebox,records, malt tins, poodle skirts,saddle shoes.

Decorations add much to the event turning an ordinary get together into something unique. Decorations do not have to be expensive to be effective.

There is a variety for music 1sy lets find something that fits the atmosphere for your event.
You could hire a live band or go with a dj. Then what kind of crowd are you having that will set the typr of music you will want to have.


1. Brass quintent is ideal  for educational or senior concerts,weddings,Christmas concerts, or special events. For those on a tight budget this is a good option. Is ideal for small rooms or intimate settings.

4. How long is the typical waiting period to view your pictures

5.  Do they do any special effects ? If so how do they charge?

There is alot more to invitations then what is realize .

2. Are you doing email only invitations?
     If so  make sure you follow up with last minute reminders and updates.
     Also follow up with phone calls
     Email invites are the most cost effective

3.  Printed invitations are for more intimate private events such as birthdays,weddings etc.

      There is a wide variety of  different types of paper and fonts you can use.

       Heavier paper will cost more and folded invitations will cost more.
   
        Make sure to order extra to allow for mistakes

        The purpose of the event
         Who is hosting the event
         When the event is to be held and where the events to be held

       Directions/map to the venue

       Accommodation information if relevant
       Rain date and location if outdoor event and weather is bad

        How to respond and date to respond by

Question for catering

Most often if you are reserving a venue t have there own catering and cost is usually  price per guest.

1. Check history of the company and reputation.

2. Check with the Better Business Bureau

3. Make sure catering company is properly insured and licensed.

4. Review pictures of past events to see presentation of food.

5.  Review event site with the caterer. Create timeline. set up time required, length of event, tear down time.

6.  Look at sample of linen,china, glassware Ask if food is prepared at location or off site and delivered

7.  Staff,s attire suits the occasion.

8.  How are gratuities calculated?

9.  When is final head count due by? Usually 72 hours prior to event.

10. Any special dietary needs?

Finding The Right Venue

1 Is event being held indoors or outdoors?

2. How large of space is needed to hold the guest comfortably?

3. What type of atmosphere or mood do you want to set?

4. What is the cost?

5. Subtle lighting depending upon what type of event

6. Adequate parking? Handicapped accessible?

6. Electrical supply enough outlets?

7.  Computer/ Internet access?

8.  What is there minimum deposit and when is it due by?

9  What is the cancellation terms? and Refund policy?

Week Long Series On How To Plan Any Event

Today March 18,2013 is the of a week long series on how to plan any event
Today we will start with  1st thing is to pick a date for your event
The most obvious is depending on what type of event obviously if it was  a picnic it will be spring or summer, holiday parties around whatever holiday you are planning. What about those event  such as spa party, theme party, scavenger hunt, casino night Hollywood party, Weddings theses can be planed through out the year. Also you must take into consideration the climate where you live.Is the event going to be an indoor or outdoor event that will also depend on when you want to have event.
Once the date is set then we can start figuring out THE BUDGET (Ouch)
You the client must set your priorities, the event coordinator can help you cut some cost but in the end it is up to the client what they really need and want.
The event coordinator will sit down with the client and whoever is paying for the event  such as wedding the bride might want a fancy venue with all the works but the brides parent are paying and can only afford  a smaller venue . In which case the event coordinator will sit down with both the bride and her parents and work out a comprise. If fancy venue then we need to cut cost in other areas.
The most expensive thing is usually going to be finding a venue and the ,most important thing.
